Sea Light is an acrhictect designed 1870s cottage (SF Pratt) located in the historic district of Oak Bluff which has been remodeled for use as a year round house facing the sea. It retains the charm of a classic beach side cottage.

It is located in town, and is about a 10 minute walk into the main center along the beach or across several parks.

There are three levels; Two main living levels and an only partially underground cellar which has full sized windows looking across the yard to the sea.

There are 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and an outdoor hot enclosed shower. The first floor bath is a full bath with shower, while the bedroom level bath has a long clawfoot tub.

The master bedroom has windows on 3 sides, and a deck overlooking Nantucket Sound in two directions, including a serveral mile stretch of beach alongside neighboring Farm Pond. There is an original marble sink.

A childrens suite set up like two bedrooms, has a large deck and views a lighthouse on Chappaquiddick Island as well as a very long length of Cape Cod.

Another bedroom has a balcony overlooking the neighboring houses and Nantucket Sound, and is equipped with a sink.

There is an enclosed inside porch with lots of windows facing the sea, a skylight, and a glass slider to a grill deck that gives wonderful sunrise views as well as over the ilsand of Chappaquiddick.

The open porch is L shaped, long, breezy, and has lots of seating as well as a dining table facing the Nantucket Sound. The Sound may have scooners passing, parasailors, and lobster men checking pots, ferries, curise ships at anchor... depending on the season.

Historic documentation written by an owner of the cottage over 100 years ago complete with the photograph of her in her buggy, is a cherished heirloom.

WEE CABIN BY THE SEA: One bedroom, 2 room cabin facing the ocean sunrises. Formerly the carriage house. Now nautically nice, with beadboard cielings, wood stove, and a sense of being "below deck". This is a fabulous island retreat near Town Peach, Ocean Pond, and downtown Oak Bluff.
